What is Egyptian cotton?

Egyptian cotton is a selection of the longest and purest cotton fibres and produces the highest quality.

What is combed cotton?

In this case the yarns are combed before spinning so that the fabric is softer and more supple, fewer impurities occur and even after it has been washed many times no fluff forms (peeling). 10 to 15% of the yarns are removed by this process, the shortest first, because the longer the cotton yarns, the better the quality. This cotton quality can be clearly distinguished from other sorts by its extra long fibres and the great purity of the material.
